Affirmation Massage

It’s been almost two years since I had my last massage from Bear, and I still dream about it. I’m so sad they moved to Columbus, and am keeping my eye out for trips to Cincinnati so I can hop on the schedule for an in-home massage. Bear is one of the most intuitive therapists that’s ever worked on my body. They picked up on ankle trauma from two decades ago! Bear is so kind and gentle - they truly take the time to listen to you and educate you on your body/practices to do at home to help. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable at my first appointment, and has every appointment since. as a queer woman with complex PTSD and chronic pain, i’m so glad i found a safe space to find relief and start my somatic healing journey I cannot recommend Bear enough!!

Can't recommend this place enough! Bear is incredibly understanding and patient, and highly values a client's boundaries and comfort. My experience with them has been so rewarding both mentally and physically. I myself am trans, neurodivergent, and struggle with complex trauma, fibromyalgia, and a number of other health issues. Bear explained everything to me ahead of my massage, checked in multiple times throughout, and talked to me afterward to explain massage aftercare. They made me feel safe as a fat person and made this very vulnerable experience wonderful. I will absolutely be returning.

I honestly never know what to say to properly describe a massage with Bear. I've been visiting them for a few years now, back in their Cincinnati days (heartbroken that they moved up north but hey, they gotta follow their dreams and I love that for them) and I've sang their praises to anyone who would listen. One massage with Bear changes you for the better and they always seem to know just the vibe you need. I've had sessions where I genuinely left my body, I was so relaxed, even when they were working on painful spots! Bear works some kind of magic on those points- giving you the good kind of hurt then immediately soothing it into warm comfort. I've always felt welcome and safe as a queer, plus sized person their care. Give them a call sometime, you won't be disappointed!

The best massage I've had anywhere. I did a custom massage and Cora asked lots of questions about how I felt and what I needed before we started. During the massage, they asked before starting something I hadn't done before and clearly answered all my questions. After, they explained how my sleeping positions impact my muscles and suggested some things to ease the tension. Cora is professional and friendly and made me feel at ease. The atmosphere is lovely and exactly what you'd want for a massage.
