One of the best drinks we’ve had in the states. Almost Japan level cocktails. First time having Tom Yum cocktail and the smoked whiskey was also fire. Proper ice program with clear branded cubes. Impressive bar and bottle collection. Please check this bar out if your in Portland

I visited Blyth & Burrows on 2 separate occasions. The first time I went to the main bar and the second time I stopped into the Broken Dram. Both visits were fantastic. All of the cocktails I tried were delicious and inventive, the food was tasty, and the atmosphere was fun. The staff were talkative and excited to share their craft. If I visit Portland again, I will definitely stop back in.

Great happy hour spot (even on a weekday!) at Blyth & Burrows' speakeasy downstairs in Portland. $1 oysters and quality, interesting craft cocktails galore. The pretzel appetizer was a huge hit! We'd love to come back.

Hands down best service, drinks + bites of our long weekend in Portland. The space is moody with warm lighting but with plenty of plants and quirky oddities to give the space a fun personality. Our bartender was exceptionally knowledgeable about the drinks and every bottle on the shelf (thanks to her, found a new favorite gin in Barr Hill which is a VT based sustainable distillery who wants to save the bees! Me too). The bees knees was the best I’ve had and my husband’s drink, the Ship Captain Crew, was delightfully smoky. The Mussels Escabeche were transcendent. Highly recommend this spot to anyone with good taste.

We visited Blyth and Burrows during our recent trip to Portland as it came highly recommended from a friend. We parked around the corner in the parking garage and walked over. The neighborhood is very lively and eclectic with lots of unique shops and eateries. When we arrived we observed how small and crowded it was. This definitely spoke to it's popularity! After a short wait we were seated along the front window. This was a great seat to enjoy the atmosphere, even if it was a bit of a tight squeeze with the other patrons. We ordered the Frieda Fuzzypaws and the Ship Captain Crew. Both drinks were very enjoyable! We loved our visit and would return in the future.

There are many, many places to get cocktails in Portland. This came recommended, and we are glad we went! As is usual for us, we sat at the bar. It was clear that the bartender really knew about cocktails. Our first were off the menu. I tried the "big in Japan", which was vodka, shochu, cucumber, and other things. It was herbaceous and well-balanced. My husband had the "ship captain crew", which was bourbon, rum, sherry, and other things plus served smoked. Very cool! For my next drink I just told the bartender my favorite cocktail and he made his own riff on it. We also got a half dozen local oysters. The bartender made requested drinks easily, and ad libbed equally easily. This is a very excellent place for cocktails.

Great bar with inventive and delicious cocktails and theming. We sat outdoors and the service was just as good as indoors and quick. We only had time for a drink and an appetizer but we enjoyed both and would have loved to stay for more with more time. Definitely a fun place to stop in for a drink while in the area.

Oh my god this place was so good. We were in Portland for 3 days and we went everyday, try to find the hidden speak easy! The Tom Yum is a must try and the Wednesday oyster social was the best deal. The staff was hustling and pleasant. Would return time and time again
