Visited Dilworth Tasting Room recently, and it was an excellent experience! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, making it a great cocktail bar to stop by for a drink and some light bites. We ordered a few small plates and appetizers, including a charcuterie board that was well-curated and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive, and I loved the thoughtful design touches throughout the space. The only downside was the lighting—it was a bit too dim, which made it hard to fully appreciate the ambiance. Despite that, it was enjoyable overall, fairly priced, and definitely worth a visit!

We had an amazing dining experience at this clever restaurant with excellent food and service. The staff worked together seamlessly, keeping drinks refilled and plates removed while we enjoyed the delicious spread. The BEST mock-tails EVER. The outside patio, surrounded by a stunning Koi fish pond, provided a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend!

DTR NEVER disappoints. I recently selected this location as a place to propose to my now fiancée. The staff went above and beyond my expectations from the idea inception to execution! Pricing was reasonable and the team was so accommodating! Special thanks to Frank who did an absolute amazing job helping me with the planning and offering suggestions of the menu selection. Kayla our Server and Nick the bartender made the guest feel ELITE - even making custom mocktails for the kids. Forever grateful to this team and venue. Thank you!

DTR is seems like a quaint unassuming establishment from the curb that is located off the main drag of South End. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, you can find DTR right on the corner inviting you in for tapas style dining filled with tasty food and beverages. You have the option to dine inside in the eccentric dining room or in the courtyard around a koi pond. Either way, you are in for a treat. Our server Nate was very helpful during my first visit describing food and beverages that piqued our interest. He also made great suggestions. We settled on brussel sprouts that were not prepared like your average flash fried, greasy, charred Brussel Sprouts. They were tender, slightly charred, flavorful drizzled with a warm onion reduction, and topped with pecans. We also chose the shrimp on a bed of brussel sprout slaw. The shrimp were perfectly prepared - cooked thoroughly with the tail off yet still tender. Smokey with a hint of spice was a perfect flavor combination. The Lamb Meatballs were ok due to their tenderness; the flavor was underwhelming. The sauce and pita combination were good pairings to enjoy the meatballs. The garlic parmesam chips was an interesting yet tasty dish. The meal was rounded out with a Red Carpet Martini that definitely was a great accompaniment for the food. Everything is light fare, not heavy to put you in a food coma, making it nearly impossible to enjoy the nearby South End scene. I recommend DTR. Definitely choose the courtyard for dining and ask for Nate as your server.

Highlights: Extensive and impressive wine list. Very knowledgeable Sommelier available on premise. Friendly service. Five Star Menu! Service: Our server, Ashley made our first time visit an exceptional experience! Her attentiveness was impeccable and even though it was a full restaurant on a Saturday night, we never once had to look for her because she made sure we were taken care of at all times. What I loved the most was her recommendations on food and wine which exceeded our expectations. She also introduced us to Brandon, their onsite Sommelier who definitely elevated our wine adventure. Overall, this restaurant definitely keeps their patrons their top priority and I would highly recommend you make a reservation the next time you’re in town! Food: Our selections were the following: “Burrata” (Bruschetta) which was made with really fresh ingredients and the perfect temperature “Tuna Carpaccio”: incredibly fresh and quite savory! “Classic Flatbread”: The chorizo was the star ingredient - truly amazing! “Truffle Gnocchi” was one of my favorites cooked in a garlic mushroom cream sauce that was to die for. We also ordered the Honey Shrimp which was good but not one of our table’s favorites. “Crab Cakes” the texture and flavor was on par so good that we had a second round of them. And last but not least… do yourself a favor and finish off this incredible foodie journey by ordering their desert “Bajadera”, chocolate layered nougat with Nutella, raspberries and whip cream! Wow! Expect an explosion of smooth flavors in every bite! Fantastic wine selections: We ordered the Neil Ellis a South African Cabernet, Lapostolle a Chilean wine and Fakin a Croatian wine. Ambience: Romantic, warm and inviting. Perfect volume on the music allowing it to be complimentary to our great conversations and not intrusive. Their decor was very tasteful and intriguing with indoor, outdoor and bar seating options. Make sure to reserve your visit to this wonderful culinary experience! We will certainly be back when we are in town next.

The food really was tasty. The everything else left something to be desired. The establishment is crowded with tables. So much so the waiter wasn't able to properly serve our party of six. Maybe this would explain the dirty half drank wine glasses that remained at our table when we were seated. Anyway, when the food arrived we were handed drinks and entrees to pass along to the unreachable members of our party. In addition to the cramped seating, we were seated at uncomfortable pub tables. We struggled all night to keep our footing on the high chairs. Upon leaving I was seriously considering consulting a chiropractor for a hip adjustment. The worst of all of this was the burning eyes we all experienced as a result of what the management explained was due to poor ventilation. Other patrons complained of the same extreme eye discomfort. I'm actually still blinking incessantly through red irritated eyes crafting this review. The waiter did try and explain away the smoke with a demonstrate of a cocktail smoker gun. Part of the "showmanship" he said. To conclude the after dinner show that added additional smoke, we had a pleasant visit from management. He explained the ventilation issues that contributed to our discomfort. Before he exited our table in "oh well " fashion, he said "we appreciate you." After spending over 4 bands in this overrated liquor house you just ought to!

Been here 3 times since moving to Charlotte a month ago. Great menu and consistent preparation and service. Wine list isn't cheap, but carefully curated although they are sometimes out of the labels on the list. It can get very loud at the height of the dinner hour, so maybe try the garden seating. Highly recommended.
