Matt at Durham Massage Company is one of the very best massage therapists I've ever been to! I started seeing him at the tail end of two frozen shoulders (ugh) and he was a huge help because by the time I got to him, over a year later, I also had secondary issues caused by my lack of mobility. I noticed a huge difference after my very first massage! I also wanted to leave a review because before I made an appointment I wasn't sure I would be in Matt's target market - I'm middle aged and not an athlete. And maybe all his reviews are from young athletes, but just to let you know, Matt can help you no matter what your age or your level of fitness, you can't go wrong!

I have had lower back pain and done all the other treatments. Nothing was as effective as Matthew. After 2 sessions I had almost no more pain. He was fantastic, used good clinical reasoning and whatever techniques were most appropriate. Office is clean and cozy. Conversation was always pleasant. I just moved and have no idea how to find someone as good!

Going to Durham Massage Company is a must. I have been going to Matt Fectaue all throughout my college athletic career and continue to see him now for everyday life. He is always very thorough in evaluating my needs every time I come to see him. I always leave feeling brand new!

I had been suffering from a leg tweak for over a month. I'd done all sorts of things to be able to keep playing, but I'd re-tweak, recover, re-tweak, recover....for weeks. I was Back Buddy-ing, Theragun-ing, foam-rollering, and lacrosse-balling myself, and getting periodic massages from membership massage place. After 5 or 6 weeks, I knew I needed something else or I was going to permanently damage myself - it was totally unsustainable. Thank goodness I found Matt. In half an hour, I knew he had *actually* fixed me. I know my body, and I knew *this* was the fix I was looking for. My body felt sponge-y again and I knew I was on track to recovery. Within 24 hours I was markedly improved, and I finally feel mobile on the court again. I only wish I'd gone to him sooner because I think I messed up some ligaments while playing injured, and that will take time to heal no matter what, but the sharp 180 degree turnaround from going to see Matt is evident. If I get another acute injury again, I'm going to Matt right away.
