Sunset Grille Lakeside Restaurant - Lake Allatoona

Only been here once just last weekend. The food was good despite the very limited menu with somewhat higher prices than expected but not terrible. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for which is outdoor, covered seating with a view of the water! And live music!!! They were busy but not overly packed & no wait for a seat mid day on a Saturday in the summer. Will def be going back to eat & explore the lake access & area a bit more. Service was a bit slow but she did say they were down a server so I’m ok with that.

Stop in for a cocktail after a sunset cruise Bang bang shrimp was phenomenal! Cold, stiff cocktails and relaxing waterfront views make for a killer evening on the lake!

Enjoy waterfront views while sampling local cuisines. It all starts with Manager, Alfred. He has trained staffers to provide good service & every time we dine at Allatoona’s Sunset Grille, our expectations have been exceeded! If you’ve lost faith in our younger generation as far as work ethic, commitment to service, and over-the-top friendliness—you’ll be impressed by the way all these guys hustle at work in order to satisfy your dining experience—a must do—check this place out!!! We don’t usually pass by many other restaurants to patronize a lake setting restaurant—but this place has become our summer go-to stop for dining & outdoor entertainment. The bartenders @ Sunset Grille serve up yummiest cocktails, and the live music creates just the right amount of R & R. Sunset Grille’s off-the-beaten-path restaurant is a great thing that gives people access to the water without needing a boat or a waterfront cottage. The locals probably like keeping this quaint spot a secret—enjoying a setting that provides a lakeside sunset glow like none other. Christian, the food manager, is highly visible asking patrons about the quality of his food preparations. Kaitlyn, Matt, and Ash are a few of our favorite servers—warm & friendly, honest about their opinions and take care of us.

Cool lakeside dining right here. The visit started off shaky as the server completely ingnored me as if ai was invisible while standing next to a dirty table. She greeted the people next to me then looked me walked past me and greeted the peope at the next table. She did not speak until my friend who invited us there sat down at the table. I spoke with a manager who was befuddled. Someone named Mitch greeted us later. After voicing my concerns to Mitch, who was super nice by the way, apologized and took care of our first round of drinks to make up for the earlier treatment. We were set up with a new server named Morgan who was awesome! If not for Mitch and Morgan I would have given one star. No for the food and drinks. The Skinny margarita was good. The passion fruit Margarita was good but the processed mix is a no go. I swapped that out for cold beer. I had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was good and crunchy, but just rather small for the bun. Almost like a chicken finger on a whole brioche bun. I would have liked to see more of the Nashville Hot Sauce involved as well. My lady had the fish and chips. Although it was cooked just right, it just had no flavor so she cancelled it. My buddy devoured the Harbour burger. I will have the Harbour burger next time. All in all, it has a nice atmosphere and the lakeside dining outdoor is a really nice touch. We opted to eat inside because my friend said it was too hot outside.(wimp) We will be back to dine outside with the great lake view. Thank you Mitch and Morgan for saving the day! Calamari was delicious and perfectly fried. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos and they were a little spicy and didn't seem fresh. It was so fishy and couldn't eat the 2nd one. I was getting nauseous. They were really nice and comped my meal. The cheeseburger was cooked great and the flavor was fantastic. The SOS bloody mary was tasty and a good start for the afternoon. I will totally be back to try other things! Server Samantha was amazing and loved her! View was spectacular!

We had to wait more than 20 minutes for a waitress to greet us after we were seated. We didn't stay. We were seated outside but the view is not all that great as you are looking at the parking lot instead of being directly on the water.

I just experienced a server who is really good at her job! She approached me within 1 minute of sitting down. She recognized I was not a regular and asked for if I have been before. She was friendly and authentic (not scripted). She shared the history and event information. Then she said here are some of the popular items ordered (without adding her personal favorites). She understood her currency and value she brings to help drive the business. Throughout the entire encounter, her timing was lockstep with informing, serving and following up. Her approachable style and keen service skills were refreshing!

Emily was warm and delightful! Bucket drink was YUMMY!! BANG BANG SHrimp appetizer was really good Coconut Shrimp and chicken burger were served with very hot fries. And plentiful! Awesome location, very nice experience ❤️❤️
